Power generation programme – small hydroelectric plants:
We employ our long experience of manufacturing screw pumps to produce Archimedean screw turbines manufactured with powers up to 300 kW and diameters up to 4000 mm. This equipment is manufactured in compact design with the steel channel, and in standard design requiring installation in the concrete channel.
Apart from other benefits, Archimedean screw turbines have the following big advantages:
- Much lower overall acquisition costs (building and machinery part), 30-40 % lower in comparison with Kaplan turbines;
- Use of low water heads from 1 m;
- Environmentally friendly operation (considerate towards fish and other aquatic organisms).
