The Research Institute of Brewing and Malting established in 1887 is a superior workplace, which solves research tasks of state and private character.
Accredited analytical laboratories, a microbiological laboratory and technical department conduct analyses of raw materials and products and solves production problems, it develops and tests new analytical and technological procedures for the brewing and malting industries and more. A number of strains are maintained for industrial use in a unique collection of brewing yeasts.
The Institute publishes an expert magazine the Yeast industry, non-periodical publications and books, it organises training and seminars.
The Legislative Department in addition to consultancy services on laws and regulations provides aid in implementing systems of quality control.
The Institute produces and sells a unique concentrate of beer wort. It is suitable for the production of beer in industrial and household conditions. For beer production, the Institute also produces and supplies brewing yeasts in liquid, pressed and dried form.
